My Story
In early december of 2008 it was discovered that I had an elevated whiteblood cell count. Another test showed the same result so an appointment was made with an oncologist. After a week of testing it was determined that i had CML. I immediately began takin 400mg doses of gleevec and have responded to it very well. Ten months after my initial diagnosis I am still responding to gleeverc and doing very well.

  • Concerning the cost of gleevec

As a recently diagnosed pathient with CML i am having quite a few concers about the cost of the gleevec that I have been taking and expect to haVE TO TAKE FOR THE REST of my life. Any information about available assistance to help defray the cost of the drugs would be appreciated.. Also has anyone had anyexperience with the generic form of gleevec which is available in Canada at a greatly reduced rate.
