In late June 2007 my husband was experiencing loss of vision in his right eye and had become clumsy, so I asked him to please go to our doctor, he did and he ordered an MRI to the brain, since his sister had passed from brain cancer in January 2005. We got a call on July 3, 2007 that there were several masses in his brain. We went to a Nuerologist the following Monday who immediatly put him in the hospital for further testing. We found that he had stage 4 lung cancer with mets to the brain. Today is April 29, 2008 and he has undergone 3 rounds of radiation 2 to the brain and one to the lung, all the while undergoing chemotherapy. We have now found that the mets are in the bone now, he is undergoing radiation to the area where the lesion was found. He is still going through chemo as well. Our doctor has mentioned to us about some experamental treatments, we are going to talk with them this week as well. My husband is only 46 years old.
