Hello

I have been dx. with ductal cell carcinoma stage 2a grade 2.  This has been an emotional ride.  I have a bone scan and ct scan of chest and abdomen scheduled for tomorrow.  Does anyone else have breast cancer on here.

Re: scared

Well hello

My name is Mike And I had a long fight with cancer not your kind but cancer. I was stage 4 at first . Now after my treatments I am here to tell you Do what they say and listen to them . Ask them to explain thing s to you, they will. This is going to take time. I know how you feel I have been there. You need to take one day at a time and keep your head up. A prayer doesn't hurt either. It took me 3 1/2 years and looking back at the first time I heard I had cancer I was just lost,as I am sure you are feeling now. Everyday gets better trust me because ,you already had the worse day of your life hearing the bad news. So evrything from here on you just get busy getting better. Things will. The treatments and meds they have are better than ever now a days. So just think how much more of a chance we have today ,than people did 5 years ago.trust your Dr. and caregivers they want us here just as much as we do. well good luck to you . keep your chin up and smile :)

Re: scared

Thanks for the encouragement.  I don't remember ever being this scared.  I had my bone scan and they found a hot spot on  my hip.  I am praying its just arthritis.  I want know until Monday.  The waiting for information has been the worst thing ever during this whole ordeal.

WAITING FOR MONDAY!

Re: scared

Being scared is natural and good if you use it to your advantage. Research every option. Don't just listen to one Doctor. I made a documentary called "icurecancer.com" The "i" being you or whom ever has the disease. And over a number of years I recorded many people telling their stories and how they beat cancer using alternative methods. Many of whom tried Western only to be given up on. I'm not saying don't listen to your Dr. but definitely research on your own. You can start at icurecancer.com as I made a site to go with the movie. It has video clips, reviews, links to other sites etc... Hope this helps.

Dear SKT40,

So who told you there was a hot spot on your bone scan? It is most likely arthritis..can you update the results it's hard but knowledge is power. I have been where you are at 2004. What is your treatment plan from your oncologist. Did you have any positive lymphenodes? Email me if I can help privately

Re: scared

don't be scared!!! I was dx with stage 3b lung cancer. My tumor was wrapped around my superior vena cave artery causing it to become almost completly closed.  After 15days of chemo 35 days of radiation in a 6 wk period, my tumor has shrunk to almost nothing and my SVC is back to normal. From the day I was dx, I took 1 day at a time, and kept saying "IT IS WHAT IT IS"  I kept thinking things could be worse... I could have died instantly of a heart attack, or an accident, but I have been given a chance to beat this, and every day is another day to live for, and enjoy. As you get your treatment, just keep telling your chemo or radiation to " EAT THAT STUFF AWAY"

Re: scared

Dear Scared,

I was diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer, grade 3, stage 2, with lymph nodes involved on Feb 7, 2008.  I am 55-years-old, had my annual gyn and mammogram yearly - and I am scared also.  I had my first chemo March 28th and I am wondering how I will get through the next three.  They say the next set of chemo does not make you as sick, I am hoping that is so.  This is like a nightmare!!!  Maybe next year we will both be healthier!  I can't encourage you much as it sounds like we are in about the same situation.  Good luck!
