I was diagnosed with Small cell lung cancer on Monday 31st December, still undergoing tests etc can any one tell how I find out what stage I am at I forgot to ask questions and don't see the Doctor before Monday.

I too, was Dx with small cell lung cancer, in Dec. of 07.'  Mine was extensive, with mets to my liver and bones. May of '08 is just about up now, here. I have finished 6 rounds of my chemo therapy. I am waiting to take chemo pills, now. I am a 56 yr. young, divorced lady. I have two wonderful, adult children.

 My first CT/PET scans showed dramatic decreases of cancer cells, in all the spots I talked about above. I won't be receiving more scans until the end of June. Oh, the reason for waiting well over a month before taking these chemo pills are, due to my upcoming cataract surgery. My doctor felt. that my white and red cell counts might go lower, by taking these pills during my surgery. I reckon a few weeks won't make too much difference. I hope so, anyway.

My main reason for posting to you is, that you should be about where I am with your treatments, too. I wonder if you'd care to stay in contact, via this medium, together. It would be nice to make a friend that is going through what I am.
