Assistance Requested

I am a Registered Dietitian working with hospitalized cancer patients.  Years ago, I had a recipe for a beverage called "Silky Milky" that was very well accepted by our chemo patients. The basic ingredients were buttermilk and orange juice, but I cannot remember the proportions or whether there were any other ingredients. The recipe came from a cookbook for cancer patients that I no longer have.  Has anyone ever used that recipe, and if so, would you please be willing to share it with me?  Thank you so much in advance for any help you may offer.

Re: Assistance Requested

I'm not familiar with the "Silky Milky" recipe. I did some searching on the web and didn't come up with anything that resembles the beverage you describe.

While I don't have this recipe, I can suggest some other high calorie shake and smoothie recipes that I have posted on this website. Perhaps these will give your patients some ideas on high calorie beverages to try to eat well throughout chemotherapy treatment.

I'm sorry that I couldn't locate the Silky Milky recipe. If I find anything on this in the future, I'll post the information here. I hope the other recipes will help you out.
