    Level Two??

Hi, my name's Rebecca, and I just started reading about the Seven Levels of Healing on the website here, I'm apart from my kids and my husband passed away several years ago, so how can Level Two work for me, are there support groups anyone knows of in the Denver area, or a tool on the web I can use to find them, thanks.

Hi Rebecca. I’m glad to hear from you, and to know that you are reading and learning about The Seven Levels of Healing. It must be hard being apart from your kids, especially after losing your husband several years ago. I’m glad that you are reaching out this way. Connection with Others (Level Two) is an important part of the healing process for anyone. Yes, there are many great groups and resources for support in the Denver Area. Many are oriented towards people with a specific type of cancer (eg, breast, colon, ovarian, etc). Others are more general. Some may also include family members or friends. If you let me know what you are most interested in, I’ll be glad to get back you with additional information. In the meantime, you can begin by calling the Denver office of the American Cancer Society (303-758-2030) or visit them online (www.cancer.org). You can also call Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers (303-388-4876) or visit their website to learn more (www.coloradocancercenters.com). Finally, you can call the Cancer Resource Center of the University of Colorado (720-848-0316) and inquire about support groups there. I send my best wishes and encouragement to you, Rebecca, as you continue your journey. Please keep me posted.
