my boss had that, fifteen years ago. They gave her four months. She said no thanks, and told her Onc to chemo her like he never chemoed anyone, and he did, and she is still rocking on at 75. lots of chemo, and a serious can do attitude are absolutely necessary. My MD would never, ever, tell a patient there is no hope. My onc is the same one my boss used. He would rather get cancer himself than think a patient is beyond hope. With cancer you can never allow yourself to think it will win or that it is hopeless.
