    I'm tired of feeling nauseous!

My name is Donata, at the end of 2006 I went under surgery for colon cancer. Docotrs told me I was "clean", but I followed a 7 months chemotherapy:at the beginning I had Folfox4 with pump inserted in the port for three days, but at the seventh session I developed an anaphylactic reaction and they put me to De Gramont - an old chemo which gave me no side effects ... probably because it didn't do anything good. That happened in Italy where i lived. I moved here in Ca. and after five months they found a huge ball of liquid in my  uterus. Another surgery and the result was recurrent metastatic colon cancer touching the liver and the spleen. They couldn't clean the area well owing to a lot of scar tissue which is now causing me periodic bowel obstructions with relative hospitalization. I started chemo one month ago with irinoteucan, caused me nausea for three days but then it was OK. The second chemo introduced the Magic bullet plus irinoteucan. Notwithstanding  Zafran and Lorazepam, I live with a constant nausea that is driving me crazy. Can someone help me, please? I'm desperate.

I just read your messge and it brought back such memories for me.  i too had such nauseous feelings.  No one seemed too understand why I was always sick.  They gave me all the new nausea meds. none worked.  I ended up going to the health food store and bought some raw ginger.  I kept it in my purse all the time and it worked.  Also a friend gave me some strong licroic and that also helped and also helped with my bowels.  I pray you will find some relief from this awful situation.  This too shall pass.

Bonita 4 and one half years in treatment.

Thank you for answering me.  The constant nausea and dry heaves caused me a bowel obstruction and I had to be hospitalized for two days. This is recurrent owing to the situation of my poor bowels. I'l try raw ginger and if someone has other advice please let me know them! Thank you, Donata

Hi donata    I am a 10 year ovarian cancer survivor and currently on chemo carboplatin. I've a lot of experience with nausea.... The best for me is NONI juice from the healthfood store. I used to just sip on it when I felt it comming on. Ask your doctor though first if that would be ok for you to try with your treatments.  Best wishes (:

My sister (37 years old) has Stage IV Stomach Cancer with two large tumors in her stomach. She has extreme nausua. After trying several different nausua medications we finally found one that works excellent. It is Haloperidol and it has a mild sedative in it that works great. You might ask your doctor about it. I hope you get to feeling better

     Hi Donata,

Try to get the generic for Zofran for your nausea ,it works great.  Your insurance may fight as it is very expensive, but your doctor should be able to call them and get them to give it to you.  Mine was able to call my insurance and get it for me.  It was over $1000. for 30 tablets.

Also, Ask your doctor about taking avastin for your colon cancer.  I was in a trial using this drug and it put me into remmission with only very slight side effects.  The girl in the trial with me also went into remmission and 6 tumors in her liver dissapeared at the same time.   The trial on breast cancer was done because the drug was doing so well with colon cancer and they noticed that people that had colon and breast cancer found both cancers went into remission or dissapeared.  Avastin is approved by the FDA for colon cancer so you should be able to get it if your doctor approves.  I wish you the very best.  Austintacious1

Hi Donata, My name is Mary, My husband had reacuring prostate cancer, we were able to help him with a Natural Zeolite. Many people on chemo noticed they did not get sick, some have even not lost their hair. But most exciting are the ones that after the heavy metals were removed from their systems their cancer is gone. I printed an experence I thought you might like to read. Let me know if you want more information.

You may see what a bio chemist and Dr. say at www.sharethecause.com/hope

    CANCER (TUMOR)

“Hi. This is Greg.  I’m from North Carolina .  Two summers ago a good friend called me about a product based on zeolites and how it removes toxins and helps avoid a lot of diseases.  But I was kind of cavalier about it and turned him down.   What I didn’t know was that I was already very sick, and the very next month I was diagnosed with a tumor on my kidney.  And I called him back and said “I need to start taking this product right away, because, look, I now have this lump.”  And I did.   And I’ll tell you that I did have – about 3 months later –on Thanksgiving weekend, surgery to get the lump removed, but I noticed a whole bunch of things.

For one, the lump had not gotten larger since when it was first diagnosed.  And all the time in the hospital I never got sick.  I didn’t get cold or flu.  But I haven’t had cold or flu ever since.  Doctors are amazed by that.  But it goes on from there.  I had spots on  my skin here and there.  Things I had for years.  They began to dissolve. And since then, now I’ve been scanned three times, and I’ve been cancer-free ever since.  And so, we are very grateful for this I will now be taking for the rest of my life.”

     Hi Donata---

My Mother recently started Chemotherapy for stomach (gastric) cancer. After her first treatment, she could barely deal with the nausea. An Aunt of mine who happens to be a nurse told me about the use of ginger. I had my Mother take 2 Ginger capsules every evening (bought at the local grocery store) in addition to her medication (Lorazepam). It helped a lot. She also drinks ginger tea.

I also read that eating foods high in protein before and after chemo treatment helps. So we tried that during the second go round also.

Re: I'm tired of feeling nauseous!

I just recently joined the caring 4 cancer site and saw your message about the nausea. First let me say I hope it is better and I will be praying for you. I have recently been diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer and I am in a clinical trial in Boston Ma.. I too have had the nausea and been on Zofran, Compazine and this other drug called Reglan which seemed to help a little because I also had hearburn. Can you let me know if you try the ginger or the nonijuice and if it works. My name is cindy and my email is maggkaci@aol.com if you want to e-mail me. I hope you are feeling better. God Bless you.

I just read your information about Avastin I am on a clinical trial for a rare form of ovarian cancer and I am on taxol, carbo and Avastin. It was so good to read all the good news as what it has done for breast cancer and live cancer. After my sixth cycle (having my third next week) I will be on either Avastin alone or Avastin and erlotnib. It is not approved for ovarian cancer yet but when I am healed maybe it will be. God Bless

Donata.....I am glitzgal.  try accessing my information on this site.  Otherwise, please contact me at     togodbetheglory1@yahoo.com.

I can probably help you with the nausea.  I drank a mangosteen juice and had very little nausea during my chemotherapy.  I am cancer free now, but was diagnosed with inoperable STAGE 4 NON SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER.  I was given 6-12 months to live in May of 2006.....over 2 years ago and now I am very healthy. I totally believe that this juice is keeping me cancer free.  I have had no chemotherapy since November 2006, and I am only drinking this juice.

I also had 2 infusions of Avastin in November 2006 (my last chemo), but then my right lung partially collapsed and my doctor thought it was because of the Avastin, so be very careful.

Do your own research......www.pubmed.gov   In the SEARCH field type                garcinia mangostana

The mangosteen fruit (from which the mangosteen juice is made) contains  XANTHONES.
