    Re: Esophogeal Cancer

My Uncle has just undergone surgery to remove his voice box.  It has been a long recovery. His surgery was in early November 2007 and he is still in rehab. He is having trouble communicating. Do you know of anywhere I can get some basic needs cards ( with pictures of needs such as food, water, pain, get out of bed, etc.) He has developed a hole in his esophagus that is not healing well, which is delaying his ability to eat as well as start his speech therapy. I thought if we had some kind of cards to communicate with him since he is too shaky to write down what he needs it would greatly help. Thanks so much.
