    Breast cancer

I was diagnosed with breast cancer on February 23 and had a lumpectomy (large) on Mar 3. I have been getting chemo since then and was told I had a Triple Negative Breast Cancer. This week, I went to get my pathology reports and I received a shocker. I had two types of cancer cells (comedo and cribriform) on the report and that it had invaded from the duct into the stromal. I was never told any of this, I was told I had DCIS. I am getting Cytoxan, Taxotere and Neulasta and I would like to be sure these drugs are what I need to prevent a return of the cancer. The doctors told me they are giving me what they think is the best treatment, since they aren't sure how to treat my kind of cancer. Is there anyone out there who has the same problem I have? Pleas help me if you can. Thanks.

Have you contacted the American Cancer Society? They have people there that can answer your questions. 1-800-ACS-2345

Please, Please go to another doctor, a university if possible. I would be uncomfortable with doctors who did not tell me everything or suggested not knowing how to treat the conditiion. If you have a cancer care center with various types of information, ask them to refer you to someone else. The should be open and unbiased.

If you go to another, be sure to get all of your medical information.

Calling the cancer society is excellent as well.
