Lisa- I know that I am probably responding after the fact, but I too have ovarian/fallopian cancer. It spread to my lymph nodes and adominal wall. I am in CT. and have an excellent gyn/oncol. doctor, Tom Rutherford at Yale New Haven Hospital. He performed a radical hysterectomy and staged my cancer at 3C. I have just completed my 6th chemo treatment. I am in a clinical trial, GOG-218, and will continue to be carefully monitored. I have been very fortunate that my side effects have not been drastic...fatigue, shortness of breath, aches, itchy skin and some blurred vision. I was out of work and home bound for 6 weeks. I have been back at work fulltime since Feb. 2nd. The day of my first chemo, I went from being scared and anxious, to being positive and a fighter. I buzzed off my hair before it came out, got myself a great wig and some cute headscarves, and started back to the gym slowly. I know that I have a long uncertain road ahead of me, but I am the one doing the walking!
Please let me know how you are doing :)
