Breast Biopsy Animation

Often your doctor must remove fluid or tissue from your breast. It is sent to the lab to look for cancer cells. The procedure is called a biopsy.

A biopsy is done to remove tissue or cells from your body for examination under a microscope. A breast biopsy is a procedure in which samples of breast tissue are removed with a special biopsy needle or during surgery to see if cancer cells or other abnormal cells are present.

Using a high quality animation, Caring4Cancer is providing a visual representation of the breast biopsy procedure. For users without speakers or unable to hear the audio, the full text of the animation accompanies the visual display and an accessibility version of the animation may also be selected.

You will need the Flash plug-in to view the animations. You can get the free plug-in by clicking here.
